I oppose the downtown parking garage that would occupy approximately 1/2 of an entire city block. From Cathcart to Lincoln! I do not use any of the multistory parking lots in Santa Cruz and I would never use the proposed massive lot.
The city should devote attention and funds to making our city sidewalks truly walkable. Earthquakes, tree roots and other forces have broken up sidewalks to the degree that they are dangerous for walkers.
